Academics
Cascia Hall's current maximum enrollment is less than 600 students. Middle
School (Grades 6-8) classes have 24 students or less. Each grade is 72 students
or less. The Upper School (Grades 9-12) has an average class size of 18 with an
average of 90-95 students per grade. The student:teacher ratio is 12:1. Half the
students are non-Catholic, and the male:female ratio is approximately 50:50.
Students live in all sections of the city of Tulsa, most within a few miles
of the school, although some commute daily from towns as far as 50 miles away.
For more than 80 years, Cascia Hall students have earned the respect and
admiration of the people of the city of Tulsa. Cascia Hall students have proven
themselves efficient, intelligent, moral, and trustworthy citizens. The
responsibility for continuing this heritage is borne by each member of the
Cascia Hall community. Students are provided with a handbook explaining the
school's expectations of their behavior. A copy is available upon request.
Cascia Hall does not discriminate on the basis of race, color,
or national/ethnic origin in the administration of
its educational policies, admissions policies, financial aid program, athletics, and other school-administered programs.
The Middle School
The Middle School functions to introduce 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students to
a traditional liberal arts curriculum which, at this level, serves as a
foundation for studies in the Upper School.
The Middle School emphasizes the self-motivation, self-discipline, and
self-responsibility required to master the intellectual and human skills
necessary for future studies as well as for life.
The students' regular schedule begins at 8:00 a.m. with prayer and
announcements. Their regular day consists of eight 40-minute classes with a
15-minute morning break and 35 minutes for lunch, concluding at 3:00 p.m. On
Tuesdays, classes begin at 8:55 a.m. and dismiss at 3:00 p.m.
The regular exams are coordinated and scheduled by the faculty so that
students will not have more than two tests per day.
The California Achievement Test (CAT) is administered annually to all Middle
School students with the results being sent home to parents in late spring.
Eighth grade students take the "Explore" test in the fall. All Middle School students are trained and certified
annually in CPR and eighth grades students take
part in "Operation Aware".

The Upper School
The traditional Cascia Hall program is college preparatory, emphasizing the
liberal arts. Cascia Hall offers the Upper School student a variety of courses,
the completion of which prepares the student for entrance into college.
To provide a challenging curriculum for Upper School students, who vary in
ability from the average to the gifted, the basic courses are divided into
approximately three levels of difficulty, which culminate in an extensive
Advanced Placement program.
Each regular day begins with a 10-minute chapel service which consists of
silence, prayer, scripture, homily and flag salute. Attendance is required of
all students.
Following Chapel, a student's regular schedule consists of six 50-minute
class periods, a 25-minute activity period and a 40-minute lunch period. The
academic day ends at 2:45 p.m.
Athletics are scheduled from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m daily.
On Tuesdays, Upper School students begin their academic day at 8:54 a.m. and
are dismissed at 2:47 p.m.
To avoid too many tests on one school day, there is a regular day of the week
when the students can expect to be tested in each academic subject.
